Fall is finally here! Let the season of fall festivals, bonfires, tailgating, and cooler weather begin! Nashville Oktoberfest is back, as are other local favorites such as Franklin’s Pumpkinfest and Nashville Zoo’s Ghouls at Grassmere. New festivals are also popping up so make sure to mark your calendars and prepare yourself for a whole lot of fun!


October 6: Nashville Cultural Festival
Centennial Park 
| Nashville
In a city where one in six residents is foreign-born, the Nashville Cultural Festival is a celebration and reminder of what makes Nashville a great place to live! This festival is free and features a variety of dance and musical performances, authentic and exotic food vendors, hands-on children’s activities, an area just for teens, a marketplace, and so much more.

October 6: Main Street Festival
Downtown Gallatin 
| Gallatin

Gallatin’s Annual Main Street Festival will be kicking off their 35th year! Over the years, the festival has become the place to be for the first Saturday in October for the local community and the 200+ vendors that participate. The festival will feature arts, crafts, non-profit, and commercial vendors, along with live performances and children’s play areas.


October 7-9: Fall Fest @ The Hermitage
Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage 
| Nashville

Fall Fest is a spectacular weekend of art, music, and history at the Home of the People’s President: Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage. A sea of tents will be placed throughout the grounds that will host a variety of specialty foods, spirits, and the products of photography, basketry, ceramics, painting, jewelry, leather, and woodwork. This event is perfect for children and adults alike to have a memorable historical, cultural, and unique experience!


October 11-14: Nashville Oktoberfest
Historic Germantown

Each year Nashville’s Germantown area transforms into a celebration of German tradition that is fun for the whole family! Free and open to the public, there will be live German music, German food, German beer, and even polka dancing. This is definitely an event you don’t want to miss!


October 13: Halloween in the Park

 

Charlie Daniels Park | Mt. Juliet

The City of Mt. Juliet Parks and Recreation brings another year of free fun for the family! Get the kids dressed up in their costumes and get ready for hay rides, petting zoos, inflatables, vendors, and loads of free candy. There’s no better option for classic fall fun!


Historic Rock Castle | Hendersonville

Bring your yoga mat and enjoy a day dedicated to yoga! The Tennessee Yoga Festival offers several yoga classes for all levels of yoga enthusiasts, along with entertainment, vendors, food, and brews. Check the class schedule to see which class is right for you!


October 17-19 & 23-26: Ghouls at Grassmere
Nashville Zoo

Grab the kiddos and head to the zoo! All of Nashville’s littlest ghosts, goblins, and monsters are invited to sport their favorite costume for Ghouls at Grassmere. Guests are invited to enjoy trick-or-treat stations, play games, watch animal shows, and take a spin on some spooky rides!


October 26-27: Flashlight Nights in Oaklands Mansion
Oaklands Mansion 
| Murfreesboro

Explore Murfreesboro’s most mysterious mansion and experience some of the unusual mourning customs and creepy superstitions of the Victorian era at Oaklands Mansion! As the doors creak open and reveal the town’s spookiest historic home, guides in mourning attire will be stationed throughout the mansion to answer all your questions.


October 27: Franklin’s Pumpkinfest

The Heritage Foundation’s Pumpkinfest is Middle Tennessee’s largest family fall festival! Moving into its 35th year, with an average of over 65,000 people in attendance, the festival offers tons of festive fun. Festivities include live entertainment, costume contests, kids zones, arts and crafts vendors, and tons of food and beer options!
